Step By Step Guide To Start Using The Directory Submitter

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The first time you run the software, remember to click on the "Validate DB" button (refer to step 8) inside the software so that you always have an up-to-date directory list.

Project Set Up

Step 1: Add A Project (Do this when you're submitting a new site)

Click on the Add Project button to create a new profile for your website submission. A little window will appear and first enter the name of your website under the 'Project Name' field so that you can easily track it. Next, enter your Personal Information according to what is being asked next to each field. 

Step 2: Website information & Rotation features

The submitter has the ability to rotate text when doing submission. You can post unlimited number of titles, descriptions, keywords. Each per line. The software will rotate them during submission. This option is available when you click on Website Information. Once done, press OK button.

Step 3: Delete & Editing Projects

You can also delete or edit projects. You just have to select from the drop down menu which project you want and click the button you need to do the modifications.

Directories

Step 4: Add Directories (Completely Optional)

To add new directories to the built-in list, just click on Add Directory button and then filled in the necessary information as asked for.

Step 5: Delete & Editing Directories 

To make changes to the existing list of directories, you can either use the Delete Directory or Edit Directory button. Go to Directory button should be used when you select any directory on this list and then the software will load the page in the browser below.

Step 6: Importing Directory List 

To import a full list of directories to the software, click on Import CSV button. A window will appear and you can select the CSV file in which your directory list is found. Note that the CSV should be structured the same way like the submitter software. Each directory, along with the information, should be in one row with the same number of columns. 

Step 7: Directory Selection

Choose Select All button to choose all the directories in the list that you would like to submit to. The Clear Selection button will deselect all chosen directories.

Step 8: Directory Validation

You can validate the whole list of directories or you can just select individual sites from the list. To do so, you click the Validate DB button and it will check each site if the links are dead, the PR, the alexa Rank etc. If there are dead links, the software will ask if you want to delete these links from your list.

Note: This process may take long if you select the whole database, as it contains thousands of sites. It may take a few hours to update the whole list, depending on your internet connection. It is recommend that you perform such task once a month. You can stop the validation process anytime by clicking on the Stop button.

Step 9: Browser Options

(1) From left to right buttons: 

- Back button
- Forward button
- Stop button
- Refresh button
- Autofill button (click on this one to autofill the forms on the sites)

(2) Checking the square box will allow you to open multiple browsers at once to speed submission process. The Close browser button closes the browsers individually.

Step 10: Selecting browsers

(1) Below you can find the browsers which you choose to open. You can switch from one browser to another by clicking on the names below. 

(2) This shows the number of directories in the list.

The Submission

Step 11: Organization

Organize your directory list first by clicking on the columns. Normally, it's better to sort the list in descending order according to PR (page rank). Double click on the directory you want to submit. Once a submission is done, the software records the date in the last column so that you can keep track of it.

Step 12: Autofill forms

The tick button in blue is the autofill option. Once the directory submission form loads in the browser, just click the button and the information will be filled on the site. Then select the appropriate category and press the submit button on the site.

Voila! Your site has been submitted to the directory. Just rinse and repeat this process. To accelerate things, open up to 10 browsers at once.
